Shared Elements Palette: Introduction Available in both Authoring and Conversion mode the Shared Elements palette contains three tabs: Image, HTML, and Media. When you click on a tab, the corresponding pane is displayed. The elements in the Image and Media panes correspond to files in specific locations on your Web server or hard drive. By establishing those locations, the elements in the list are available for easy addition into Web pages. To add an element to a Web page, drag it from the list in each pane onto a page. When you drag elements onto a Web page, an item box to represent them is automatically created on the page. The HTML pane of the Elements palette lets you add Custom and Master HTML items to your Web pages. When the Elements palette is the active window, an indicative border surrounds the Elements list and the keyboard commands described below are in effect: When the Document Content palette is the active window, an indicative border surrounds the Content List and the following keyboard commands are available:
Open or close the Elements palette by pressing Command-Control-S (Macintosh)/Control-Shift-S(Windows) or select Extensis>BeyondPress>Show Shared Elements from the menu.
